Katie Porter announced her intention to run for Governor of California today. I don’t know how I feel about this.

(I didn’t care for the announcement wrapped in a fundraising email).

I have a theory about Old Yam Tit’s and the Epstein files.

He knows he’s in there but he also knows the names of other important people.

He’s using that info as leverage for favors and such (even from Dem’s that are probably on the list).

Publish the list, he loses the leverage to blackmail.

Exactly this. All because of the price of eggs. I will never forgive them for the death and destruction that lies ahead.
By 2028, each of us will know someone arrested by ICE, who lost their healthcare, who was sick or died because of the war on science, who suffered because of Trump and MAGA.

Yep, this.
One thing is for certain after this week: Local cops in sanctuary cities—Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York—are working in lock step with DHS and ICE.

I don’t think there is enough popcorn for this breakup. There is however, plenty of schadenfraude to go around. 😁

Gee, what a surprise. He has done nothing to help his constituents. @schiff.senate.gov shame on you.
Welp. Sen. Schiff has sold out his constituents in California and the party in general. This is so gross.

An FYI for those that may need this info:

If you need to do business on the Social Security website, it seems to have an issue with Chrome. I was able to get in and do what I needed with Firefox. I encountered no problems whatsoever. I was worried about getting kicked out. YMMV

Well, if this does pass the Senate, about 69 million women (give or take a million or so) will be disenfranchised.

Wonder what possessed those four Democrats to vote for this bill.
🚨BREAKING: U.S. House passed GOP voter suppression law. 220-208. Every Republican voted to disenfranchise millions. It now goes onto the Senate where Democrats will be able to block it.

Cory Booker’s filibuster reminds me of this moment from the West Wing. Apparently, the WW got the rules correct about yielding for a question but not yielding the floor.

Yes, this. 👇👇
Corrupt judges let a criminal get away with treason and run for president. Propagandists masquerading as journalists lied to enough people that the criminal won. Then the criminal sold a half share in the presidency to the world's richest man, whom no one voted for. That's what happened, folks.

"You might have to suffer a bit" is the MAGA version of "Let them eat cake."

When a politician tells you it's your duty to sacrifice for THEIR principles, it's time to start building guillotines.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Omgosh. We need new leadership. (Read the entire thread). Jeffries has basically thrown in the towel. My rep is all in for the orange menace - no help from him.

If your rep is dem or independent, call her/him to apply pressure. The budget fight is all the leverage we have.
Ain't good. Compared to Senate Dems, House Dems have less leverage. One exception is the budget fight. But here's the Dem House Leader TODAY declining to use that leverage.

If you have a Dem rep, ask them to use their leverage. And tell them to tell Jeffries to lead.

Stay tuned - more to come.

This is just evil. 🤬
New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.
