most American Protestants, esp those of the low church, do not worship a monotheistic god, or even Jesus Christ as part of a trinity. they worship Mars in a pseudo-Marcionite way, but put him in a sort of Second Temple Judaism drag in order to conceal/launder him through the Old Testament as God
american protestants are pagan and american pagans are protestant. if anything, spending time doing cultural exchange in one camp boosts yr credit when you go to the other one
