just saw someone on tumblr describe HP as “the first fandom” like. I know you people are desperate to keep funding a transphobe bc the thought of reading any other book is too hard for you but this is housewives writing kirk/spock fanfic in carefully xerox’d fanzines erasure and I won’t stand for it

I will happily pay whatever tax I have to for any of the following things:
- Everyone has healthcare
- Turbo Tax is nuked from orbit
- More public transit
- Everyone has housing
- Never getting jump-scared by medical bills again

Saw a pal the other day who definitely identifies himself as a lefty (such that he already fled to Canada once to escape our evil ways, but returned) and he was utterly aghast at the very suggestion he'd have to pay more in income tax vs just "the billionaires". So I told him he was a bad socialist.
The thing that most depresses me about this is that you have people nominally on the left who argue that this has not happened and adopt right-wing “taxed enough already” language to justify their taxes remaining low(er)

If you're posting analogue horror videos on YouTube, maybe don't have midrolls in them?
The reason I say that is because if you're building tension but the video is then interrupted by an advert for a Nintendo game, all that work you just did in building up the scare has just gone up in smoke...
