I'll come up with something later
I have the day off and the evils of not living half an hour from Brixton Ritzy have struck again. Don't think Hamnet is going to sustain me in a good mood tbh people

quite obnoxiously funny, tbh, Labour Members...
Cabinet approval with their own Labour Party members (LabourList/Survation)

Fgs now they have to grow a new Nancy clone on a shadow planet than can just spontaneously produce 1000 representatives/star destroyers

No inherent shame in leading the House, much though the incumbent demonstrates the possibility
I feel exactly the same way about AOC today that I did about Obama in 2006, in that their candidacy feels like a longshot, yet at the same time the most natural & correct thing in the world
anybody currently raging about Newsom needs to be stopped better get on board or I might think your outrage is a tad performative

Love that national environment for him
Big AZ news: Karrin Taylor Robson, the more-establishment GOP candidate for governor of Arizona, just dropped out of the race.

This seems to seal the deal for Andy Biggs, a far-right member of Congress who chaired the Freedom Caucus, to get the GOP nod against Dem Governor Katie Hobbs.

I mean, the poor thing is a badger that posts more than fifty times a day. The brain scramblies are unavoidable at that point
"Frederick Douglass wasn't literate enough to understand the Constitution" is one of the most unhinged takes I've ever seen someone post even on bluesky, the official home of posting unhinged takes
Bluesky "leftist": "Frederick Douglass wasn't literate enough to read and understand the Constitution. I am very smart and woke."

Doing great folks, just great.

Bantonia is certainly very irate about it
"Government Source" whose name rhymes with Bantonia Domeo.
🔥 "Government source" to The Times hits back at Simon MacDonald over Antonia Romeo:

"This is a desperate attempt from a senior male official whose time has passed but spent their career getting Britain into the mess it finds itself in today."

Wasn't remotely surprised by this earlier today; the endless, relentless drumbeat of eternal doom that everyone under 35 likes to play as background music really helps nobody at all giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

My most gauche current opinion is the Sophie Okonedo show downs in the Hall entirely justify recommissioning Wheel of Time and whilst I am furious about its cancellation her death does go a lot of way to mitigate that and make it a good send off

People have very odd notions as to how bad these incredibly wealthy places can possibly be.

At least in Britain most people have been to London so provided they've not been X poisoned they limit their very vocal and ready distaste to "oh its all just a bit much for me, do you hate it?"
I overheard a couple chuds in San Francisco talking on an elevator the other day about how nice the downtown looked, and how they had expected it to be a third world hellhole.

Some very respectable attempts to make Southampton "city" centre presentable and nice, unfortunately, around Bargate that is going to require Mertz's rejuvenated Luftwaffe to have another go because the postwar...it did not go well.
