I have talked to people a lot over the years about how not-the-norm our modern ideas of 'canon' are. It wasn't very long ago that long running movie series like Bond or Godzilla or whatever, would only have a vague canon that really only established the status quo that you'd go into each movie with.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

I have talked to people a lot over the years about how not-the-norm our modern ideas of 'canon' are. The video is hilarious. From how obviously fake the 'making of' parts are to how much AI needed to be used for a video explaining that their ad didn't contain as much AI as people said it did. It's almost beautiful.
