I am 100% opposed to these laws because in all cases they are used to pressure disabled people to die. Because that's cheaper than providing the supports they need to live. It happens in Canada with MAID, it happens in Oregon, it will happen in Illinois.

I asked where its source was for this and it was not able to tell me.

In Dec '24 I was in a hit and run accident with my new to me 2003 Toyota Camry, Rezmeralda. Poor baby took some damage, though she was still kind of driveable in the daytime, especially after I zip tied her bumper back in place sort of. I'd hoped to get her fixed once I was housing secure. In the meantime I stored it at a friend's and gave them a key in case it needed to be moved. While at their place she sustained more body damage which I chalked up to being parked on the street. Come to find out that they've been driving it and that last night it broke down on the highway after a loud bang from the engine and they just left it on the shoulder. I find out today if she's salvageable and, if so, I'm going to need help with repairs. They're taking care of the engine while I need to get the headlight and bumper fixed so I can drive it rather than "store" it. A previous quote for the bodywork was $564.90. if you're of the mind to assist this will definitely help with my financial situation as I won't be dependent on Uber/Lyft anymore. If she's not able to be saved I'll be selling her for scrap and anything raised will be put back to use as a down payment on what will probably be a 2004 Toyota Camry which I'll name Rezmeralda Car 2: Electric LULULULULULU.
