Good morning ppl! Within the FDA, there is now not a single Director or up line above them with legacy knowledge of how the FDA was pre-trump. This is one of the greatest risk to the FDA right now.

Grading and googling hallucinated citations, as one does nowadays, and now that LLMs have been around for a while, I've discovered new horrors: hallucinated journals are now appearing in Google Scholar with dozens of citations bc so many people are citing these fake things

Death toll is, per US provided stats, now at 95 if I have it correct. With zero authorization from Congress. With zero evidence presented. 23 strikes.
Hegseth murdered more people today but still refuses to release the second strike video from September.

The lawless killing spree continues.

The administration justifies this slaughter by claiming there’s an armed conflict.

But it won’t even tell the U.S. public who the supposed enemies are.

Of course, there’s no armed conflict.

And outside armed conflict, we call premeditated killing murder.

Brennan eventually acknowledges that gynecologists and obstetricians have determined mifepristone is safe — but then demands again to know why the government isn’t launching a study to crack down on its usage.

We are watching a storied news organization deteriorate steadily, day after day.
really weird -- Margaret Brennen presses Bill Cassidy on why the White House isn't doing more to crack down on mifepristone and what he's doing to encourage them to do it

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

We have $ for a dozen ICE agents to hang around for hours trying to arrest 2 roofers working in MN.

Meanwhile, the agency that investigates and prosecutes violations of Americans' right to organize is shedding staff again. Now down to like 1 agency staff per 145,000 workers.

In late 2020 a Chinese man called Guan Heng travelled to Xinjiang with our BuzzFeed map of detention facilities to provide ground truth for our work - he provided the first corroborating evidence for many sites.

He escaped to the US - then ICE detained him.

The Second Amendment protects a “militia” right, which was the understanding of the courts for 200 years. The “individual right” rewrite is a suicide pact.

The reason folks are focusing on DHS's refusal to honor Real IDs is that it means that the Trump regime is asserting the right to detain anyone in America, resident or visitor, without probable cause. It's an erasure of habeas corpus for all Americans.

Add to this that HSI just filed a declaration in our case challenging these policies saying they can’t trust REAL IDs as proof of status.

So showing your papers isn’t even enough to end the stop.
