When I traveled in China I had to get a letter from my editor confirming that I wasn’t on assignment and wouldn’t be reporting while in the country. I was also advised not to travel with pens or notebooks.

X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

Not really surprising, but it is interesting to see how widespread and artificial these accounts are.
Yes, yes, yes to muscle-building in your 40s-50s to improve life later on. Joining a gym isn’t a bad idea, finding a good trainer is more difficult, but I cannot recommend it enough. Since January of this year, I’ve been working with personal trainers who have helped me to build muscle.
I'm told that, if I want to retain my mobility & freedom in my twilight years, I need to do some muscle training to replace muscle that is naturally degrading. Can't say I'm happy about this, but I accept it.
So, first question: should I try to assemble a home gym or just get a membership?
