The last time he started talking like this, his allies minimized the risks and we ended up with January 6. This time we must take him literally and seriously. These comments are a five-alarm fire for democracy. In a functioning republic, he would be impeached and removed from office today.

Trump could not be more explicit about his intention to rig elections this year and in 2028
Trump: "These people were brought to our country to vote, & they vote illegally. The Republicans should say, we should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. We have states that I won that show I didn't win. You're gonna see something in Georgia"

what's interesting about today's release of the Epstein files is that 2 journalists were arrested today for doing their work and the Fulton County election office was raided this week.

As far as I know, Tom Suozzi here still does not have a primary challenger in his district (NY-3 on Long Island).

The filing deadline is April 6 for the primary on June 23, and if there's a remotely progressive town council member or PTA president in that district, this is the time to make a move.
Confronted Congressman Tom Suozzi, one of seven Democrats casting the decisive votes to increase ICE funding by $10,000,000,000.

“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.”

Donald Trump Is Frightened
Trump wants to appear eager to minimize out-of-control clashes between government militias and protesters. But he doesn’t want to stop the things causing those clashes in the first place.

Once you start noticing it you can't stop: when the real Trump falters and is incapable of defending his administration (more and more frequent) the actual Trump is "subbed out" of news coverage for an invented, imaginary, often explicitly hypothetical version of Trump who is reasonable and cogent
A few hours ago the msm unquestioningly repeated the White House spin that Trump had changed his “tone.”
Um, holy shit? This has gotta be up there in the most crass & worse things Trump has ever said

Dear Sen. Alsobrooks, I’m a constituent. I’m urging you to please vote NO on DHS Funding.

ICE must be stopped. A Senate voting NO will show them this behavior is unacceptable for the citizens of our country. Please urge all of your collegues to vote NO.

It's not an either/or.

Noem and Miller should both be gone.

They earned that result since at least March 15, 2025.

New in PN: The regime's mind-bending lies are a tactic

"The VP told them they could kill anyone who annoyed them. Pretti annoyed them. So they killed him. Now the lies Bovino and Noem are telling about Pretti’s death are intended to encourage further extrajudicial executions and likely will do so."

The political press very clearly understands “truth” as a social agreement, a compromise position between everyone important enough to have an opinion. It did not reflect on how this would allow dedicated liars to go all-in on lies again and again and dramatically shift the position.
my emerging theory is that the political press literally does not believe in objective reality in any meaningful sense. there is only what A says and what B says and how that affects the horse race

This horrific epistemological practice has both proven almost impossible to dislodge, even as it’s resulted in press being utterly humiliated by liars again and again.

It has also arguably led to the collapse of liberal democracy and the rise of fascism.

It seems like they should stop doing it!

We have like five videos from different angles showing exactly what happened and it's still treated like a disputed fact. There will never be a level of proof that would prevent Republicans from lying about it and the press treating it as disputed. It's like the Chapelle R Kelly juror sketch.

Chris Madel ends GOP bid for governor, says he can’t support federal ‘retribution’ against Minnesota
His exit comes as some other Republicans have started to distance themselves from the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the state.

The Washington Post is basically done. I grew up with the Post. I’ve subscribed my entire adult life and I cancelled last year. It‘s Already a shadow of what it was
If this is true (and that’s not a small if), it is reasonable to posit that Bezos is trying to offload the Post. Or kill it altogether.

Sports is a top driver of traffic and subscriptions for most news sites.

And we’ve seen how Bezos and Lewis have mangled the Opinion section.

This was murder. Pretti did not initiate the confrontation. He didn’t strike them. He didn’t brandish his gun. They tackled him, beat him, disarmed him, and shot him.
Holy crap.

This is the most damning video yet.

It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face.

Murder.

Disciplined, peaceful, relentless engagement is the only way out of this spiral. Don't give them the war they want; starve their chaos of fuel.

Hold fast.
