Before panic sets it. The New NIH Director and Congress will want research to continue, so the machine will start up at some point. Keep writing papers and preparing proposals. AND educate the public about the key role peer review plays in science and the time and infrastructure investment needed

Training is key. Telehealth communication is different but not inferior. Let’s give our trainees a rounded education #TeleMedEd
This study from Taiwan indicates that online Communication Skills Training for Shared Decision Making is not inferior to Face to Face Training, and is a feasible alternative to use in #MedEd.

Hearing from federal employees tonight who are getting messages via their agency’s emergency notification system, which is usually reserved for snow-related office closures, that’s like DO NOT RESPOND TO THAT EMAIL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, WE HAVE NO IDEA IF ANY OF THOSE PROMISES ARE REAL

barriers to care lead to profitable platforms by compounding meds, by-pass geography/time w/ asynchronous providers, self-pace edu vids, no prior auth & shortage, FSA/HSA eligible pay plans. I wish we invest in primary care having less barriers and time/resources to do this care instead
I remember criticizing Hims in the beginning for selling pseudoscientific remedies (but also proven drugs, to be clear).

Now, they're selling "compounded semaglutide."

Would love to hear from experts on this. Big Super Bowl campaign in the works for this. Cc Medsky

Most immigrants Trump targets have been here 10+ years, paying taxes, raising families, contributing to our communities.

Mass deportation would devastate our economy and tear apart the social fabric of America.

Loneliness and social isolation were commonly reported among US adults aged 50 to 80 years, with higher rates reported among those not working, living alone, or with lower household incomes and poor health.

So true. I am pro digital a lot of thing but not for this. I never had my work email on my phone. Work phone is optional and I do not have one. I do have remote laptop as notes don’t finish themselves, yet. Hope we get option for AI use soon

Let’s call about it. We don’t have to complicate screening to ‘hopeful future visits in person’ that may or may not happen. Reducing barriers to health one call at time. Let teach the next gen alternative ways to reach our patients #telemeded
Check out this #JGIM #OriginalResearch article showing screening & a telephone-based brief intervention reduces unhealthy alcohol use in diverse adult FQHC patients.
