The quickest way to winning a Darwin Award right now is using a LLM for fact checking.

Without a doubt the very definition of natural selection.

#SEO audits can fail not because the analysis is wrong, but because it isn’t prioritised properly.

Explain why it matters in business terms, to get buyin.

Faster load speeds = lower bounce rates
Clean architecture = clearer crawl paths
Better internal links = stronger authority flow.

Find someone who doesn't know your business. Show them your homepage for exactly 5 seconds. Then ask:
"What does this company do?"
"Who do they do it for?"
If they hesitate, get it wrong, or give vague answers, you've found your problem. And it's costing you rankings, traffic, and customers.

It may look "tidier" but is it helping your users? Where applicable I prefer using my chosen images with a link, so not to have the auto generated one

Use Competitor Benchmarking for Content Gaps

Tools like Clearscope or Surfer SEO can help you compare your content with top-ranking competitors. By identifying content gaps—topics or keywords they cover but you don’t—you can add valuable, rich content to your pages and improve your visibility.

Great Maths @lilyray.nyc!! Look forward to catching you at #brightonseo next month!!
14 billion Google searches per day

Let’s assume 40% of responses show an AI Overview (5.6 billion)

Let’s also assume AI Overviews are wrong 5% of the time.

That’s 280 million incorrect Google responses per day 😅

Use Schema Markup for Videos

If your website features video content, adding video schema markup helps search engines understand and index it better. This can make your videos eligible for rich snippets, video carousels, and video search results, driving more organic traffic to your site.

Wondering if the paywalled stuff will impact further rankings?

Though the fact Google ranks paywalled content is not only a bugbare of mine but I highly doubt this would be the case.
Several important Reddit notes from the recent AMA with CEO Steve Huffman -> First, a Reddit paywall coming this year for some subreddits

Me: Will Reddit still feed that paywalled content to Google via its partnership (so it can be indexed and rank)??

If you want people to use your website, so that you can collect more money (or share knowledge, or just exist), then first make it possible for people to use your website. Digital accessibility helps everyone; it's not a fad, it's not an SEO thing.
Feel like I’m going to post this for next 4 years. But….

#Accessibility is not woke. Stop this non sense.

Digital #A11y is needed to ensure everyone can use anything in digital space. But this admin won’t figure that out until it effects them.
