The Scottish Government has agreed to both key
@scottishgreens.org tax proposals:

✈️ A new tax on the 12,000 private jet flights taken in Scotland every year

🏰 A 'Mansion Tax' on £1 million+ homes

This will raise millions for services like schools and our NHS.

Yours and my data makes someone money and actually providing a better service with it is pretty incidental
The other aspect of this story is, academics and NHS staff could and would have done this better and essentially for free if they were given the same data access as Faculty, but they are not allowed it. Government policy is deliberately to frustrate pro bono / non-profit health data research.
I dug behind the industry paywall to find out, what *are* the geniusly clever things that AI can predict will increase NHS A&E pressures?

You’ll never guess

- Flu
- Winter
- Icy weather
- Friday nights
- Christmas
- New Years Eve

Jeez, Dom’s old mates at Faculty AI (o yes) really saw Wes coming

I don’t want to do another glib ‘want Green? Vote Green’ post because this kind of shit is literally destroying our future now. So let’s just say, as with so many other things, you can’t believe a word Labour says on the climate.

Spain’s marine protected areas (MPAs) are still being decimated by bottom trawling.

We took legal action last year but Spain has issued more fishing licenses for bottom trawling inside these MPAs since then.

So we’re going back to court with @oceanaeurope.bsky.social to protect these zones.

These strikes could have been averted, if Wes Streeting had a credible pay and jobs offer for resident doctors in England to consider.

89 phone calls (BMA say 25 is safe)

29 face to face appointments

Triaged c300 patients

His lunch was a Red Bull at his desk and he finished at gone 7pm. He said he was broken, and he'll do it all again tomorrow.

Stand with your GPs.

Public’s priority is access to GPs
Labour’s promises ‘Bring back the family Doctor’ ‘End the 8am rush’

Reality GPs provide more for less, never run a deficit & yet even this year’s contract is a smaller proportion of the NHS uplift than hospital Trusts

A shift is needed now before it’s too late
