The NHS isn't an 'ecosystem' to be divvied up between private interests. It's OUR service & must remain THE NHS providing healthcare for all.

We won't let Alan Milburn, Streeting & this govt downgrade our NHS to just 1 provider amongst private companies.

"The number of NHS appointments, tests and operations delivered by private hospitals and clinics has increased by almost 500,000 this year; now at 6.15 million."

Every appointment moved to private hands weakens the NHS we all rely on. This wasn't Bevan's plan.

Yep. And no prizes for guessing where the private patient is sent when routine procedures go wrong or there are complications - and at whose expense.
This is quite an important point that very rarely gets covered in conversations about private vs public healthcare - emergency care.

Because as a rule, private hospitals have neither the facilities or skills to handle acute illness and accident (no A&E, ITU or MDT set of staff) - and even more 1/
Slightly off topic Bear, but I read about Jeremy Clarkson's recent health emergency where he ended up going to his local A & E Dept.

Very surprised to find out that his private health firm could not provide him with local emergency care and would have had to send him two hours away to London.
