The BBC is an incredible publicly owned institution that everyone in this country should be proud of 📺

It is "by miles the most watched, listened to and read of all platforms in the UK" and "most trusted, at 60%"

💰💰💰PFI cost us £80bn for just £13bn of actual investment in our NHS

🤯 And now the government want to use MORE private finance ?!?

❌ We say no to the private finance rip off. We're handing in this petition to the Treasury on the 18th November. Make sure your name is on it.

The government’s new Railways Bill, tabled today in the House of Commons, sets Great British Railways up to fail and passengers to be disappointed.

👀Take a look at our response to the Bill.
3 ways the government's Railways Bill fails passengers
The Railways Bill is an opportunity to deliver a railway that works for passengers, not profit. The bill is currently failing to deliver that.

After 30 years of failed privatisation, the government's new legislation is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get the railway this country deserves. But public ownership is just the starting point.

We've already paid for desperately needed investment in our water system through our bills.
But - somehow - that money disappeared into the pockets of private shareholders. 🧐

Reform previously committed to 50% public ownership for "critical national infrastructure"

This morning Farage was asked about "Nationalisation Nigel"

He said he believes that for *certain failing* industries he believes in *short term* *partial* nationalisation

Caveat much?

Outsourced services still get paid with public monies- more costly as well- just channel that funding back into NHS. My local hospital even rents some of its hospital beds from a private company- how on earth does that make sense

"Free at the point of use" is not the bar

People voted for this Labour government to defend patients not profits

e.g.
🏥reinstating the NHS as a fully public service
🏥saving £10 million a week by ending outsourcing
🏥ending all private finance deals
