Really bugs me when things like this happen.
I would love the username Mega on the PlayStation Network. But I can't use it because it's been taken by someone who created an account and then never used it.
They've never played a game using it. So why create and keep it?

I took a pretty big step today. I resigned from my design director job I've been working for 5 years and 8 months.
I've been crying over this job once a week in the last few months, and despite how much effort I tried to fit in and the work I put in, I couldn't see a future there and resigned.

fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you

What's funny is that all these GenAI companies could actually just embed compression-resistant patterns into their output that would cleanly make their stuff identifiable, but they don't, because they don't want to, because they want their slop to make everything unusable.
