Everything you wanted to know about #cilia & #signaling in one big beautiful poster format from field thought leaders @wachtenlab.bsky.social & @sorentc.bsky.social- from our just live @jcellsci.bsky.social Special Issue… 🤩🤩🤩
I’m excited to share this collaborative work with Prof. Dagmar Wachten (@wachtenlab.bsky.social), providing an accessible overview of primary cilia signalling and recent advances in cellular signaling in health and disease. Many thanks to Dagmar for a fantastic collaboration! doi.org/10.1242/jcs....
Primary cilia signalling at a glance
Summary: We explore the primary cilium as a master regulator of cellular communication that integrates diverse signalling pathways to guide development and maintain homeostasis. Its dysfunction trigge...

A single dose of #psilocybin induces a rapid and sustained reversal of both mechanical allodynia (pain) and anxiodepression-like states in adult male and female mice

Single-dose psilocybin rapidly and sustainably relieves allodynia and anxiodepressive-like behaviors in mouse models of chronic pain - Nature Neuroscience
Hammo et al. show that a single dose of psilocybin rapidly and sustainably relieves both chronic pain and anxiodepressive-like behaviors in mice by restoring prefrontal activity through partial agonism at 5-HT2A and 5-HT1A receptors.

🧠📈 Do neurons of a feather flock together? Not quite.

New evidence shows that neurons of the same specific type tend to avoid each other in space, supporting the mosaic hypothesis in the cortex.

When I first started working with resting state fMRI as a postdoc, there was a lot of skepticism about what we could learn from it. 20 years later, it's hard to imagine where the field of neuroscience would be without it. Here's a summary 🧠 www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Hey Keri, some nuclei wear their emotions on their chromatin 🤭 I’m sure this is not in any epigenetic text books. Ironically, I captured this on a Lattice Light Sheet microscope a few years back which protects cell from phototoxicity.
