Remembering the time that my partner knocked over a bottle of very expensive face oil, panicked & then tried to scoop it up with her hands.
Subsequently, I was kicked awake to find her with both of her hands held out, palm up, like she was Padre Pio, asking me to take her make-up off for her.

I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

We watch Mrs Doubtfire maybe once a year and I always think she should have given that old bus driver a chance.
Seems a decent aul skin.

Have Your Say on the Basic Income for the Arts
Today's the deadline to have your say on the Basic Income for the Arts. It takes about 30 seconds to complete this important survey. "The benefit to the cultural standing of Ireland in the world where artists have had space to create will be immense. South Korea invested in artists a decade ago and is now a cultural powerhouse in the world. We were once lead by poets, it was part of who were were. We can touch our history again." My contribution.

I used to work in cinemas and heard Bertie Ahern once asked for a discount on cinema tickets to see a movie based on his daughter’s book.

Basic Income for the Arts Year 2 report just came out.

Fingers crossed this gets continued and expanded to more artists (and artforms).

ReTurn machines should accept bottles or cans that don’t have the logo on them… I don’t mean give 15c for them, I mean just take the fucking things. Have it for free, what am I going to do with it? Your business is recycling and you don’t want free product… that’s baffling to me.

If you're in Ireland, please fill out this public consultation about the future of the Basic Income for the Arts scheme, the best thing that's happened to Irish artists in a very long time. We need it to continue.

Okay, this is one for any writers or illustrators in Ireland doing children's events. In case you haven't already heard, it looks like Garda Vetting rules are changing, so that you will have to appear in person to show your ID documents for any organization that looks for vetting. 1/5

Saying this with as much love as possible, but please stop using AI generated graphics for activism. Plenty of artists willingly donate their time and work designing for activists, and always have. It's not necessary to step on an increasingly struggling group in order to promote worthy causes.

Just saw Superman and it’s a romp.
Also there’s more thinly veiled commentary on the state of the world today than I’d expect from a super hero movie.
