How about speeding things up by chatting to CSO Ireland to get locations for 72,000 (yep!) vacant dwellings announced in September & apply use it or lose it

They should also chat with Revenue to understand why only 2300 properties paid the Vacant Homes Tax

Ivan Yates insisted he's "done nothing wrong" in his first interview since the media training controversy that erupted over his role in the presidential election.

He further accused the media industry of being "riddled with conflicts of interest".

In praise of... Citylink. I can go Galway to Dublin return for €27, with a park and ride day rate of €12 in the coach station. Driving to Dublin would cost at least €50 diesel, then another €20 for parking, + time lost in Dublin traffic. I'm 2.5 hours on the bus. And usually asleep! #speirgorm

If someone tries to hurt me in my own home I can use lethal force against them to protect myself in self-defence.

If oligarchs persist in making the planet unliveable at what point does lethal force against them become self-defence?

Dick Cheney dead at the far-too-old age of 84. You might think this is in poor taste but I watched this man kill half a million people in Iraq (2 million people by some estimates) pretty much in real time so I think a little schadenfreude is quite appropriate when a genocidal monster dies. They just gutted Teen Vogue which had top notch political journalism. The media is continuing to purge any sort of political dissent to Trump and the oligarchs.

The Catherine Connolly campaign has reignited my urge to learn Irish. I have the Now You're Talking book and tapes from 25 odd years ago, but of course no tape player. Someone has handily converted the tapes to audio files you can listen to here: www.tripswithkevin.com/irish-on-you... #speirgorm
