Yes, we have visual cues about the king tide - it is extremely rare for the area in the white circle to be filled with water this is normally a marsh with grasses. Matches the levels showing on the streamgage.

This morning after I had a cancellation at the doctor I went out for a paddle & as I unloaded the kayak I heard a loon call. I grabbed the camera and ventured in that direction. Soon after, I found the loon & waited only a few minutes before it danced. Perfect start to the day.
