I thought this was going to turn into a story needing its own True Crime Netflix series, but no.
This is quite something.

Watching Jack Whitehall's Malice thing and the biggest thrill so far has been the appearance of M le Juge from Spiral/Engrenages.

The BBC is the biggest thump of soft power the UK has and its reach and influence to the benefit of the country is extraordinary. Destroy it, hugely damage the UK. The same people who helped weaken us over Brexit are seeking to do it again.
Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

The first verse of this B*Witched song sounds like one of those Facebook posts about how everything was better in the 50s. #TOTP

We're out to play
And lost our way, it's always the same - oh baby now
Climbed the trees, swam the seven seas
We've grazed our knees and no-one's to blame

I mean, I hope Bananarama did well out of this cover, but really they shouldn't have let it happen. #TOTP

The only thing I remember about this Republica song is the title, which deserves a better tune, frankly. #TOTP

It's bloody horrible outside. So horrible, in fact, it's putting me off going for my chippy tea.

There were things that were brilliant about 1975. The average age was 35. The government was actively legislating to try and lessen the worst economic and social injustices. Popular culture was incredibly vibrant. None of these are the things that the Telegraph want to talk about though.

I've bought some of Gail's stuff and it's terrific, beautifully designed and great quality. Buy some.
This is true.
The husband just found me having a little cry in my studio.
He’s making me a hot Vimto and I’m having a word with myself.

Have a look at my website and please repost.

Come on, all they have to do is get Ben Whishaw or Rory Kinnear to say "somehow, Bond returned", and everything's copacetic.

Trump then pardoned thousands of those involved, including violent offenders who have already gone on to commit more crimes. That doesn’t erase his own record, or the facts of the event.

Why is the shadow culture secretary demanding the BBC “grovel” to a foreign leader for telling the truth?

The BBC, both as a radio broadcaster, and a TV broadcaster, didn’t start out doing news at all. News is the upstart department. Its job is to act as a national fireplace. And that’s properly vital now, more than ever.
I reckon a shared national popular culture is just as important (if not more important) than a fact based, impartial news service for liberal democracy to work.

Trump and his cronies have the BBC in their sights. Leaders can’t stay silent while one of our great institutions is attacked.

We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.

The BBC employ roughly twice as many people as the UK fishing industry. You'd think people would question Farage's patriotism and intentions wanting it shut down.

Worth noting that a fundamental change to the way the BBC is funded, or its public service remit, has substantial knock on's. The UK's broadcast landscape is hugely enriched by a competitive BBC challenged by a successful commercial sector, and vice versa.

Changing that principle will cost dear.

The licence fee costs around 48p per day. For that, we get four linear TV channels, six national radio channels, 40 local radio stations, iPlayer, BBC Sounds, the entirety of the BBC website. It represents unbelievably good value for money. Farage and that orange twat can fuck off.

You wouldn’t believe how far the BBC reaches. The furthest away country, you’ll meet some locals. They ask you if you’re British, they’ll tell you about the BBC.

It’s not at all clear to me how the BBC can do any kind of serious journalism if its top two bosses can be forced to quit over such an obviously confected scandal. There is no substantive error here. How can the BBC report on Trump, or Farage, or anyone else, in these circumstances?
