12 year old daughter told me she has her first boyfriend “accidentally as we don’t really know each other.” I said ‘ha, just like me and your mother.’ No-one laughed. Atmosphere remains frosty at best.

Ok - listening to The Death of Bunny Munroe on audible/borrowbox and it’s actually narrated by Nick Cave. Lovely.

What is a weird (possibly pointless) thing you do where you take a moral stand against something? I refuse to watch any rugby matches South Africa play in because their coach/manager (Rasmussen) constantly brings the game into disrepute.

Thought the same - was glued for two hours. Captivating.
thought the pilot episode of this was really good, but then i'm a rhea fanboy. like the premise, but mainly enjoying the gilligan signatures - the mundane detail, the landscapes, the sound of quieter scenes, the pov shots, the use of colour, the unorthodox camera angles. just intensely watchable.

Absolutely stunned van Dijk’s goal was disallowed. Over-officious individuals ruining the game. Robertson wasn’t in his eyeline and didn’t affect Donnarumma one bit.

The game is held up for over a minute as the replacement referee hands the referee a replacement flag which he hands to the assistant referee whose flag was broken but seems to have recovered so he promptly puts it on the floor.

FF Update: Sloth London & Proud overtook me last week.
@santiagojones.bsky.social moved up the leader board to a solid 43rd and is now just 143 points behind the leader. I made the mistake of not having Haaland as captain last week and am going to repeat that error again. Who are you captaining?

One last thing, never really liked Alan Carr before but he changed my opinion. Thought he was funny and very likeable as was everyone on the show.
November 6, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Well, it was great tv and thoroughly enjoyable but quite astonished nobody picked up on the amount of cock-ups Alan made.
November 6, 2025 at 10:18 PM
I am so pissed off at that ending. They should not have allowed Alan to signal who he was voting for. Huge flaw there.
