How expensive is it for you to feel safe?
I was thinking about how almost everything marginalized folx spend goes in some way to consideration towards safety. More rent for a safer apt, more travel expenses to move around at safer times or maybe afford a car, higher prices to shop in safer stores

talkin 'bout the permissions of servitude compounded by racial fetishization.
So many settlers are also used to projecting "the help"/translator dynamics like sacagewea onto Indigenous ppls they encounter. As if Indigenous worlds don't exist outside of being appointed a perpetual role as an interpreter for colonizers.
Some ppl are discomforted by this and experience extinction burst because they're not used to Natives actually asserting their presence as autonomous human beings.

I'm gonna be real: many many times when I've watched a sexy TV show and gone "oh wow, this is being surprisingly normal and positive about sex!" I later found out it was a Canadian production.
I have *never* thought that about HBO. If I'm uncomfortable and sad, I check to see if it's HBO.

Heated Rivalry is a Crave production, from Canada. HBO is just a distributor. I really wish people would stop attributing anything in the production of this show to HBO.
Sounds like this set was run how they all should be. HBO once again leading the industry in intimacy directing.
