I am still having a weird time marketing a book right now, but words like Sean’s keep me in it. And preorders really do help, esp with small presses like Porphyry. I’d love for Ghosts to live on your shelf or dread altar or library.

Wow, this is some m*ta-style shit
So, guess who's been fighting with BlueSky all morning after they wrongfully suspended me for three days, instructed me to contact an email address that does not exist, and then reinstated me without bothering to answer many of my questions about the process?
Whole 🧵 here:

What the hell.
I posted on my main about being suicidal like two weeks ago. (It was true then, though it was situational not clinical.) I haven’t posted much of anything in the last couple weeks at all. I’ve just been reposting, mostly. And they don’t say which post I made was responsible.

This is a non-issue in the scheme of things, but damn this shutdown has made me acutely aware of how my morning productivity is dependent on not having another person just...also around, doing things.

This is what I mean when I ask abt calling murk. Like, treating this cyclic abuse ( & yes, I understand that she feels threatened by the right too; that makes it less functional, not more) like democracy feels increasingly like gaslighting/wasting each other's time & energy. Maybe just eat dinner.
it is pretty darkly funny seeing posts like URGENT!!!! it is SUNDAY EVENING you must PUT DOWN YOUR DINNER and call your senator IMMEDIATELY to politely request they not press the big button marked "fuck you". this will not actually stop them from pressing the fuck you button. functioning democracy

Maybe AltNPS just forgot how to make threads, but I've never seen them this manic. A new post every few minutes, most of which are fluff that could have stayed in the drafts.
They could just be earnestly posting through it, but they could also be testing a "flood the zone" engagement strategy.

I taught this prose poem/flash nonfiction this summer, as a way to think about using concrete facts & scientific data to explore grief or anger; data as a form of both intimacy and distance, & how to balance information & emotion to achieve the desired effect.

Neighbor & I walked the dogs to the river. I dropped my phone in the snow chasing the dog to get him to drop a moose bone & was halfway home before I realized & drove back to find it. All my notifications are abt medical crises or the senate except for one abt bunco.

I’m out of my lane in terms of understanding policy/subsidies etc, but what would happen if Big Grocery was just like “F it we’re a food bank now, come get it”? Just hypothetically?

My family of origin is close but geographically scattered, & I’m thinking now of the way non-parents are asked “WHO’S GONNA TAKE CARE OF U WHEN YOU’RE OLD?” My brother & I are doing what we can across the distance, but it’s my parents’ also old friends who are SHOWING UP.
