This was one of the starkest debates I have seen in recent memory. CM Cashman is so knowledgeable and fluent on the details of the challenges and solutions that Minneapolis is facing. Also, she’s kind and friendly. Plus a great track record. Ward 7 should send her back for another term!
Cashman did really well tonight. Benefited from knowing the job after two years doing it. She was happy to own being the progressive candidate. Shaffer was hedging answers in a way that made me think she's not confident with the more conservative lane she used to win the DFL endorsement.

Or talk to literally another single, solitary renter who has expressed issues with unaffordability, lack of access, and having to make choices about rent vs groceries or medicine or tuition. Housing is unaffordable for too many RIGHT NOW, even if these “decreases” are relevant.

I survived two Ward 10 conventions in the span of two years. I was at the Storming of the Stage. I saw an honest-to-God Mondale get shoved in Ward 7 this year. I watched the purge in Ward 2. You have nothing to teach me about the norms and procedures of political conventions.

Here's what I want to know, who is financing Carol Becker's so-called news website? I know I got added to their email list. The bottom said "a friend" referred me. I emailed them twice to ask which friend and have never gotten an answer. How'd you get my email for your influencer campaign, Carol?

Regardless of whether or not yesterday was an "immigration enforcement action" we still had 1) ICE agents present who have a "casual relationship with the truth" at best, like a certain Mayor, where we saw 2) two dozen fully geared out federal agents who were masked and lacked any ID
Horrific statements from these elected officials. Other leaders who were ready to show up and protect residents from federal agencies yesterday rightfully were pointing out ICE’s presence and now these elected officials are trying accuse them of lying.

Question for the lawyers given the ICE raid in Minneapolis today, can municipalities pass ordinances to require all law enforcement officers (local, State, and Federal) to show their faces, name, agency affiliation, and body cameras? Limits to hardware on the streets for specific actions?

The last Ward 10 item to share: I heard some one refer to the Minneapolis Times as a real news source, and I almost called an ambulance because the eyes rolled out of my head. Some how I got added to their email list, and my only thought was, who gave them my info? I asked via email with no answer.
