Representation can change a life in a single moment. Every person deserves to feel seen, celebrated, & included exactly as they are. This is why adverts show all of us - as a sign for all those who feel excluded that they're us, & a reminder for all those that exclude.

When humans look at something we find beautiful our brains release dopamine, lifting mood & if we connect with what we're looking at oxytocin, giving us a sense of belonging.

Right wing media now lining up to tell Labour to scrap the Employment Rights Bill. Because it’s unthinkable to the rich and powerful that greater respect for their workforce could improve productivity and wellbeing. ‘We can’t afford to not be able to treat you like shit’ isn’t persuasive to me.

Makes sense that Tories worried about Reform outflanking on their right. Farage is worried about being outflanked on HIS right

But a labour centre left govt should NOT care - let the RW get more crazy and grab the huge centre ground.

Lab losing far more voters to lib Dems & greens than the right.

Why must background music on a TV program be so intrusive!
I’ve just had to give up watching BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs as the music made it impossible to hear the commentary. Sad

Why not re-instate WFP but make it a 100% taxable benefit for higher tax payers? Then those who don’t need it will have it clawed back?

How many people who still think Brexit is a good idea voted for Labour in last Thursday's local elections?

One? Two? Let's be generous and say three.

Would it really be so bad to lose their votes but potentially attract an avalanche of others by taking clear overt steps towards rejoining the EU?

Keep us, Lord, faithful to you
and to your call to follow
in the way that you lead us.
When we are distracted
by our tendency to
wondering and wandering,
when we are diverted by
the changes and chances of life,
draw our attention back to you,
and help us to follow.

There seems, in UK politics, to be a far greater willingness to adjust ‘speed’ (eg: ‘we need to go further and faster’, or, conversely, ‘the lesson is that we went too far too fast’); than to think about whether we are heading in the right, or the best, direction.

Starmer needs to unequivocally tell the British people that Brexit has made them immeasurably poorer and that Farage has been the chief advocate of their losses .

Labour was elected because they are not Tories. To stay electable they need to not be Tories. The core of Reform support are unreachable in their disinformation sphere. The rest want their lives to be better. Make their lives better and they won't vote Reform.
