I did notice that when I gave a wing mirror a pretty solid hammer fist the driver of that car no longer wanted to use it as a weapon on me and quickly got his car out of arms reach.
And now I think on it, I'm reminded why I don't often use that route to commute. It's fastest, but the drivers are cu

Sadly, I do not ride with a camera, and trying to video from my phone while manhandling 30 kg of e-bike (UK legal pedelec) might be beyond me. I also have a policy of not recording crimes I may be committing 😁

It seems that about 50% of proposed Republican bills are designed to rig elections in their favour one way or another.

I'm assuming the eagle dropped the man in the Leonardo turtle t-shirt on Aeschylus to kill him?

Had a driver trying to get into a traffic queue block a bike lane on my morning commute. One of these days, consequences will arrive in the form of a very large man picking up 30kg of bike and walking across the hood.

Your dad sounds awesome.

In fact, between my previous comment and this one I've commuted home covering around 4½ miles on various mixed use paths and never once had to sound my bell, I just slowed down to not blow past pedestrians.

Maybe you shouldn't just assume the worst about all cyclists.
February 11, 2026 at 5:28 PM
who may or may not be aware of them and may get upset that you sounded your bell to make sure they know you're there. Honestly, I just want the pedestrian to pick a side instead of being right in the middle, and I'll work around them.
February 11, 2026 at 5:28 PM
No, separate cycle infrastructure is for bikes. It's like how pedestrians shouldn't be on motorways, but requires a lot less space.

Shared use paths are pretty terrible as you've illustrated. Either the cyclist is the arsehole, or, they have to slow down to navigate around pedestrians... Cont

That's generally how you maintain a high average speed., yes.
February 11, 2026 at 4:40 PM
I'm not talking absolute speed either. It's about not having to stop regularly while using the cycle path, so it would keep you away from junctions with vehicle traffic, for example. Being able to maintain a high average speed is cyclist specific not absolute.

I was all ready to stay off social media and wear my new t-shirt tomorrow.

In the UK the Vauxhall Cavalier (J-body) was pretty good. Especially the 2.0 SRi 130 (that's 130 HP from 122 ci).

So I'd have that one. In the UK it was considered a fairly large car, as opposed to a compact. The Vauxhall Carlton and Senator sat above it in size.

And that Likening ICE to the Gestapo and Slave Catchers was a false equivalence. So that's what happened to it. A whole bunch of people lack the critical thinking skills and curiosity to question the propaganda they're fed to the point that if they were German in '33 they'd have voted for Hitler.
February 11, 2026 at 3:15 PM
Well, under a YouTube video where MJF commented on the "Fuck ICE" chants AEW got last week, a whole lot of people were telling me that the crowd are the bad guys. That suggesting their side lost in '45 was "unoriginal" (but not untrue)
February 11, 2026 at 3:15 PM
I don't know what people take it to mean, but it should mean cycle lanes designed to facilitate a high average speed. It takes less energy to maintain a speed than to have to continuously brake and accelerate due to poor planning before implementation.

I did not expect the Epstein files to confirm my suspicions about Brexit.

I wonder how the Brexity types feel knowing that they were fed a line of bullshit from the head of an international paedophile ring.

By doing it this way, Fletcher doesn't have to lose in his home country and can still be on the card doing something else.

That's not what they meant, because they are a moron.

Admittedly, in most of those situations you'd kick to touch to get a line out 5 metres out that your team is throwing the ball for instead of running it because of how the different sets of rules work. Ball possession is paramount in both, but turnovers are handled differently.
