I think everyone needs to come to terms with the fact that no matter what Trump and regime does none of them will ever face consequences for their actions. Trump should never have been allowed to run again after January 6th. The fact that he’s in the White House proves this country has failed.

The entire thread. Democrats are controlled opposition. Toothless, cowardly, Quisling enemies of democracy.
What can Democrats do?

Long 🧵 1/8

Establishment Democrats keep saying, 'We're not in power, so what we can't do anything. We need to take back the House and the Senate before we can stop Trump, and then the Presidency to shore up our republic'

That seems like whistling past the graveyard.

Democratic leadership in action…
he's gotta go
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

Q: Who said- 'President trump was horrified by Epstein's crimes and was an FBI informant"

A: The quote "'President trump was horrified by Epstein's crimes and was an FBI informant'" was said by House Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson made the statement in September 2025 during a press gaggle.

imo if you want to get back in power your slogan should be "If you elect us we will prosecute everyone in government who has violated the law"

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

Did Steve Wikoff ever give advice to and coach Hamas how to manipulate the President with the objective of forcing a bad peace deal on Israel?

Would Republicans be okay with him doing that?

Because that is what he did for Russia.

I don’t care where you fall politically, this is very very bad and should absolutely not go through.

EVERY politician needs to challenge this.

Another day, another TEN missed opportunities for the DNC to speak on behalf of Dems about the abomination of the day.

Mark Kelly shouldn’t have to defend himself alone.

The DNC, the national Dem PARTY should be speaking up for him and the other members of Congress all over the place.

The chasm between Democratic voters and the people who represented us has become intolerable.

They have no idea who they represent. None.

And we have tolerated that shit for too long!

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

My opinion only, for whatever it’s worth:

The Epstein files are fairy dust to keep Democrats hoping something will change instead of actually making things change.

We need to make change and not just hope for it.

I truly don’t know how you look at the past week and THEN decide THIS is an appropriate — let alone the right — response.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.
