New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.

Lately I’ve been having nightmares where ICE tries to bring my wife to a detention center but refuses to actually deport her… she’s a WHITE immigrant though, so no one’s going to actually harass her until they start coming for queer folks…

One solid way you can fight back today & everyday is to look out for your neighbor, & not just in theory. If you’re in LA, someone in your building probably needs a mask. Someone living outside probably needs a meal. That person being stopped by the cops needs someone to record what’s happening.
