Trying to understand the thought process of making a "sizzle reel" for your news site and scoring it with "Money For Nothing", a song about appliance installers making crude comments while watching MTV, which drops like three f-slurs lol
Literally, the plan was to speedrun everything that happened in 2010s online journalism, only it was supposed to work out differently this time because Jimmy Finkelstein is built different, I guess.

Explaining it to Europeans it's like "oh yeah we have no coalitions and the one time they talked about trying it there was an uproar that it was 'undemocratic' so if the conservatives get 100 seats and the left parties get 99 seats each the conservatives form the government" and they're like ????

This unlocked a memory of the Slick Shoes/Cooter split and when I later heard one of Cooter's tracks from it in one of the EA Sports NHL games (after they made them change their name ofc lol) but it was a sped-up nightcore version?? Why did they do that?
I wish record labels were still doing collabs and splits... feels like we'll never get another converter/asche/morgenstern situation

(seriously though I do think they did aggressive medical procedures to keep Elizabeth alive until her 70th jubilee for no purpose other than to avoid "69" jokes)

I have a friend from rural California near the Nevada border and he says that 90% of what's in New Vegas is already like that – the desolate landscape, the random burned-out cars strewn around, the abandoned dilapidated shacks, the guns – it's just the scorpions aren't quite as big lol
look on the bright side once civil war 2 is over fallout will be Real

This reminded me of this song, from an album I loved when I was a teenager, and I just now learned that the keyboardist 1) was Alsatian as in from Alsace and 2) was Poppy Corby-Teuch who went on to act in The Royals and Fantastic Beasts, I had no idea

It's cheating because it almost certainly isn't actually someone's name but one time my sister came into work and the fill-in receptionist had written down a message from "Funge Kungecosi"

I'm not one of the people who thought he was Jewish because of his name and "Fiddler on the Roof" but I *did* think he was catholic because of "Moonstruck"
RIP Norman Jewison, it’s still so weird that you were Protestant

Apparently some asshole downloaded my thesis and is selling it as a publisher through websites including Barnes and Noble, Blackstone's, etc. Presumably some print-on-demand crap, with my name on it. I'm not entitled to any money, it's the university's property, idk if they'll care though. Ugh.

I hate Collinsworth as an announcer and Dungy as a person but I gained sympathy for Rodney Harrison during the time when they had Dungy control the replays and he never figured out how to pause it, only rewind over and over, and Rodney would glare at him like he wanted to punch him just like I did
Is there a less likable media team than Rodney Harrison, Jac Collinsworth, and Tony Dungy? The dirtiest player this century, a talentless nepo baby, and a bigoted imbecile.
