My beautiful husband on the books he's read recently
A short but powerful list of books for today. I think I enjoyed B.R. Yeager's 'Negative Space' the most, out of the fiction I read, though I also finished 'Aztec Philosophy: Understanding a World in Motion' by James Maffie, and that was a real brain-bender.

On Andropessimism — Broken Hands Media

They are so queer, and so brilliant for being queer. I'm shocked that it isn't talked about more often. It should be in the same breath as folks talk about Brindlewood Bay's mystery system, because that's how fundamental queerness is to Gauntlet games.
To be very clear, The Gauntlet is an unabashedly queer-centric publisher, our games put themes of queerness and gender front and center, and our founder and operator (me) is a gay POC. Our values are in every single page of our games.

On Selling Out — Broken Hands Media
As I’ve discussed, selling out is often pitched as an issue of authenticity. The opposite of selling out is “keeping it real”. Both of these phrases have a certain yawn-inducing quality these days. ...

1. Many of you have seen a graph purporting to show trans identification has decreased in recent years.

Matt Walsh and Elon Musk celebrated it as a victory over "transgenderism."

Fact Check: No, There Is Not A New Survey Showing Trans Identity Is Decreasing
The claim, which originates from far-right professor Eric Kaufmann, appears to have made a glaring error: the survey actually shows more people have come out, not fewer.
