Noticing that @mommunism.bsky.social has become a more prolific poster since the RAM shortage. Do not think this is a coincidence!

i can’t think of anything good for this but i didn’t know The Brattle was on here
Y’know when the characters in a movie go to see a movie and it feels really meta? Well, with an “Ultimate Double Feature,” we play the first movie up until the point when they enter a cinema to watch a different film… then we play that film… then we go back to the first film to finish that story.

DC folks, can we get Alex housed?
LIFE OR DEATH URGENT: Does anyone have ANY wheelchair accessible housing I can stay at in the DC area so I don't have to live on the street and die?
I'm going to be kicked out onto the street in 2 days

At long last, we have created the "HIRE (clap) MORE (clap) WOMEN (clap) GUARDS (clap)" liberal from the hit tweet "don't round up brown people into camps"
How is this even possible? Rep. Haley Stevens, who is running for #MISen, "seemed generally impressed with the staff" at an ICE detention facility, per the @michiganadvance.com.

At the same event, Rep. Hillary Scholten spoke of a man "being kept in a freezing room where he couldn’t feel his toes."

They raided the jailed children to steal their letters.

The problem, in federal officials' minds, wasn't confining children in prison-camp conditions; it was that the children could tell the public about it.
“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

Bingo.
It was an utterly bizzare attitude to take against a man that made reparations a national conversation. Ultimately, it showed how some leftists are unwilling to see reparations as part of a leftist political project on par with medicare for all.

Anyway all of this demonstrates an uneasy relationship with Blackness where people are keen to try and manage what it means to speak for or represent Black people towards their particular ends. Acknowledging and recognizing Black agency across the spectrum complicates this effort.

I think the various stages of embrace and rejection of Coates is illustrative here. Of how this works out. People were convinced he was a “wrecker” “shit lib” for asking Sanders about reparations despite the fact he endorsed the man publicly.

This is also necessary to keep the conversation focused on the relative sincerity of white people rather than on demands that Black people themselves have made.
Yall talk about Black leftists as if none of them have their own thoughts. As if they all get their talking points from white leftists.

It’s fucking weird.
