I’m curious - do you think Twitter might be affecting the way people think? Do you think immersing yourself in a social environment where the largest and loudest group of people are white supremacists might be having a deleterious effect on your mind? The research shows that it does! Are you immune?

Matt I get death threats here too. Maybe more than you overall, I’d reckon. Bluesky is an insane asylum. But Twitter is turning American elites into Hitlerites and white supremacists at an astonishing rate. Its owner is using it to destroy liberal democracy. Do you feel no reservations about that?
Yeah, unfortunately a lot of my experience of BlueSky has been me receiving death threats. There’s a lot of bad posts around on the internet.

These are the people who Musk's Twitter are promoting. Absolutely no effort is being made to control the wild spread of rampant hate and antisemitism, with the most violent neo-Nazis imaginable allowed to rampage across the site

I would just stop posting on the hellsite tbh with ya.

I mean, I did actually do that.

Right now, everything I post on Twitter immediately garners thousands of replies sharing a meme from Emily Youcis, a virulent antisemite who made, among other things, this:

I agree, what on earth. The Spectator is a "respectable" magazine of the British reactionary right. Why on *earth* do they think a pile-up on a random liberal activist from Minnesota is even worth mentioning? Serious question?

This "show" is a neo-Nazi cartoon made by a woman who explicitly calls for the murder of Jews. Her other recent "works" include wildly antisemitic material like this: x.com/AlfredAlfer7...

in this case "neo-Nazi" does not really capture the depth of it, somehow

Insane that The Spectator (a rag, to be clear) is

a) publishing that "Raw Egg Nationalist" far-right guy again, putting them in company with neo-Nazi publishing house that used to distribute his magazine

b) letting him use that column space to hype a shitty AI cartoon made by a deranged neo-Nazi

Do you know how racist you have to be to get fired from selling nuts at baseball games? After this happened, she went full tilt into the neo-Nazi movement -- and I mean "neo-nazi" in a pretty pure sense of that word, here.

You can absolutely condemn violence, which I do, and not reputation wash someone literally calling entire groups of human beings less human.

Yeah man. Maybe this is why we generally try to put qualified people in the position of being FBI Director. So we're not just blasting out "WE GOT HIM" on main before retracting it with "uh...oops. wrong guy" an hour later.

The problem is voters don't want to and will never acknowledge that they're monsters. Tim on the apology circuit saying he owns not being persuasive is giving the gettable an out to do different next time. Tim absolutely knows deep in his bitter soul the zingers weren't enough, he ain't dumb

I know! I love it so much
This is f*cking hilarious. Desantis is melting down after his Republican House Speaker and Senate President slapped him down today and took away his ability to appoint a state deportation czar and gave it to the Ag Commissioner, who he doesn’t especially like.

Yes, you’re right. I don’t think they care at all how dumb they look.
I suspect even if pointed out the error, the refusal to correct it is intentional. "We'll call you what we want" is part of the administration's dominance posturing.
