Addressing classroom complexity
The Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA) supports many of the recommendations made by the Aggression and Complexity in Schools Action Team in their report because we've been advocating for these supports for years. These include hiring more teachers to lower student-teacher ratios, hiring more educational assistants and allowing greater flexibility in scheduling mandated literacy and numeracy assessments for Grades 1 to 3.

I agree. Of all the policy measures on the table, Albertans are warmest to the notion of securing more federal jobs out West. Way more popular than a provincial pension plan or police force.

Albertans want bridges not firewalls.

Covering Jamal Khashoggi's murder was one of the most disturbing things I've worked on. Hearing Trump say he was "extremely controversial" and people "didn't like him" is chilling. Hard to take any other way than he thinks there is moral ambiguity in the murder of a journalist.
