Dear inyalowda: You claim not to like having rocks dropped on you, yet you live in a gravity well. Curious.

If the government’s position is that being trafficked to El Salvador by Donald Trump and Stephen Miller amounts to a final and irreversible deprivation of all rights, then it seems to me every federal court has a duty to permanently enjoin the practice as soon as it possibly can.

"More practically, Israel now has capabilities it lacked six weeks ago. Ammunition stocks have been replenished – partly due to US deliveries"

Wow. Why has the ceasefire ended? The USA has rearmed Israel so it can continue its genocide.

The Department of Health and Human Services, headed up by RFK Jr., has apparently removed a page on its website describing gun violence in the U.S. as a public health crisis.

I’m not like a social media expert but I feel like if Bluesky didn’t keep deleting Palestinian accounts and forcing them to recreate them and rebuild their support networks while starving and dying in a warzone there might not be as much “spam”. This site’s actions are racist and cruel. Fuck you.

It's wild that New York Times Pitchbot has some of the most trenchant analysis of fascist neo-feudalism on this app
(4/X) he's going after universities and media too.

In a few years, it's not unlikely that all corporate conglomerate media will be brought to hell, that outlets like the Times will be sued into extinction or submission, and that cash-starved universities will be greatly weakened.

The Democrats have devoted decades to cultivating "the mature adults in the room" as an identity and seeing things like street protests, rule-breaking, and violence as tacky and beneath them so it's probably going to take some time for them to work up to "Just push past them, make them arrest you."

What liberals don't understand is that it's impossible to reform a system to the point where you can make it stop doing what it was explicitly designed to do. We've seen this play out for decades with everything from policing to the military to the financial system. You can't fix this.
