I recently spoke at a rally about what the city had coming up to take on ICE.

Among other topics, I spoke about revoking the permit & these people tried to shout me down for correctly describing how the administrative process works & what stage it was at.

Event organizers sent apologies afterward.
The state of Portland left politics is a group of mostly white presumably born-in-USA people from FRSO accusing Angelita Morillo, an immigrant, of not caring about ICE abducting people in Portland and being performative.

We're doing ultra leftism on crack tonight.
These geniuses showed up to oppose a detention facility fee ordinance because it’s not revoking the permit, which is not a power that city council currently has.

There’s an administrative review happening rn.

we need people all over the country to pitch in to help defend all of Portland's brave activists who've been taken to court b/c #ICE agents are fascists.

I got federal charged for dancing across the street from ICE in my neighborhood on Indigenous People's Day. Here is the feds evidence photo they are using against me in court.

Sixty-five years ago today, four first-graders desegregated New Orleans's public schools: Ruby Bridges at William Frantz Elementary School, and Leona Tate, Tessie Provost, and Gail Etienne at McDonogh 19 Elementary School. They faced violent mobs and threats to their lives. They were 6 years old. 🗃

"The film asks this question of the ambivalence of history and memory. On one level, we need to forget, to forgive a difficult parent. On the other hand, we owe it to the past to remember certain things, not to repeat those faults."

I spoke to Joachim Trier about his gorgeous SENTIMENTAL VALUE.

Private islands are scary. I'm a little uncomfortable with how far from other people a single family home is, so a whole private island is insane

also cute: the person i said something about, i got backlash for saying something about.

the person i said nothing about, they ended up hurting a lot of other ppl.

cute, yall! but yah me crying is the issue, not like me being an easy mark for victimization & isolation — preemptively disbelieved.
it's weird how yall remember me crying but not which man's apartment i'd just stumbled out of — babbling about him as i pled for a ride home — and then months later, enough cis people have come forward that you give a fuck and receive them as people and not a joke about how much they react to shit.

one of the complex legacies of Pope Francis is that he publicly said a lot of very ugly things about ‘gender ideology’, but had personal friendships with a lot of Catholic trans women who felt really supported by him. Leo welcoming them publicly feels like a promising sign. I am EYEING HIM CLOSELY
NEW: Pope Leo XIV will share a meal this Sunday with Alessia Nobile and four fellow transgender Catholic activists, during the Vatican’s Jubilee of the Poor — marking the most significant public encounter shared between a pope and the trans community.
