Friends of mine associated with SW's union are organizing this rally at Sunstone's headquarters coming up on February 24th, from 1:00pm-3:00pm. This is both to protest the lack of compensation for laid-off workers at Market St. & the corruption from management.

Easily the best environment I've seen inside Viking Pavilion!! Never seen a crowd this big - I guess #1 in the conference will do that for ya... it's so loud and not even half full... full student section though!!! #pdx

They’re warning people not to unionize further with the thread of job loss. I never really shopped at new seasons because it’s very expensive but I have a hard time imagining going back.
A spokesperson for New Seasons Market confirmed the layoffs, citing increased labor costs after the grocery chain and union reached a labor agreement in December.
