Different situation, but I recently heard a younger person talk about 3 Days of the Condor as a ‘cult’ movie. They knew Redford as a champion of Indie films. No idea that he was the Brad Pitt of his day. Nor that Dunaway and Pollock were giants in their own right. A lifetime’s work, indeed.

During his first term, Trump launched so many failed "Infrastructure Weeks" that it became a running joke.

Now he's taking credit for infrastructure projects he opposed.

His whole life, Trump has taken credit for things he inherited — starting with his own personal fortune.

I cannot tell you how many capitalist climate people came after me when I warned against assuming we could reverse overshoot of 1.5C w carbon removal.

Well. It turns out that the maximum possible temperature reversal might be as little as 0.7C.

End fossil fuels now.
NEW STUDY: How much CO2 can we safely store in geological formations?

In a new @nature.com study, we cross-check established academic and industry estimates with various risk factors.

We find a prudent geological CO2 storage limit that is about 10x smaller. /1

Trump and his greedhead cronies may get a big surprise in spite of their efforts to rig the 2026 election. They could find themselves swamped by a blue wave. Americans are wising up to the fact that Trump is turning the American dream into a nightmare.

BIG country, TINY little gas station economy.

That’s what happens when your state is run by a mob running the worlds biggest protection racket and who only want to support business that can’t escape and set up abroad.
Important fact to keep in mind. Russia began this phase of their war in 2022 with an economy roughly the size of Italy's

Trump wants to get rid of mail-in ballots so he can intimidate voters with federal troops stationed at the polling stations.

Hard to scare people who can just quietly mail in their votes.

Protect mail-in voting at all cost.

A stronger case for why D.C. should become a state has never been made. Trump’s seizure of power today is based on false pretext and is meant to distract from Epstein. But it has real consequences.

The people of D.C. should not be ruled by a tyrant. This is intimidation without representation.
