3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

And remember: expensive rail fares are not inevitable. It's a consequence of the political choices we make. For decades roads have benefited from hidden subsidies and cheap ⛽ duty whilst rail subsidies have been cut and fares increased. it's time for change.
Affordable trains please; I'd be financially better off working a minimum wage job that's walking distance from home than travelling 30 mins in any direction on a main line train route for a median wage job.

Terrible, terrible news. The murder of humanitarian medical workers is hard to fathom.
MSF staff are universally understood to be engaged in an essentially sacred form of work. For a state to nonetheless continuously murder them is a testament to a truly unthinkable degree of depravity.
