Return to office is just a way to make people quit. It's a layoff that doesn't involve unemployment benefits. There is no reason to work in an office in games dev. We've proven they can be developed exactly the same from home.
Over 1,000 Ubisoft workers around the world have walked off the job.

In response to a return-to-office mandate, layoffs, and the cancellation of several games, workers launched a three-day strike.

The workers walked out in response to five French unions issuing the strike call.
Ubisoft workers are on strike: 'We are treated like children'
The strike comes after the publisher revealed plans to cut up to 200 jobs and ordered remote workers back into the office

Age verification? I still call them "portal fantasies" not "isekai"
Age verification? My first anime was "Space Cruiser Yamato"
Age verification? On my middle school basketball team we all chewed lemon-lime Gatorgum.

A K-hole so deep he's going to need his engineers to build a device to get him out.
This is one of things. Bigtime.

"Watch out for snakes"

"Nipple, nipple. Tweak, tweak... and fly!"
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them
What a moment.

I cannot believe they turned The 'Burbs into a TV show. And where are the antiwokes to come out and be mad that the main characters are gender-swapped like the Ghostbusters?

If only there was an allegory for how we shouldn't abuse technology to make things ill-advisedly, like bringing back things from the past, but not quite correctly.
Yeah I’m afraid I’m gonna have to veto that Xfinity Jurassic Park ad.

Bad Bunny's performance was so electrifying it jumpstarted this whole game. Is this an actual drive?

the set design and choreography was so beautiful that it was irrelevant that I’m a dummy who can’t understand Spanish

I mean, they'd be correctly understanding it as a direct rebuttal of their philosophy while not understanding how they're telling in themselves.
Bad Bunny: God bless America, *all* the Americas.

Damn that is going to make MAGA maaaaaaaddddddd.

"This is a game about field position" is what you say because the game is boring and it's the only smart sounding color commentary available.

The people I feel the most sorry for are the ones who said "I'm not rooting for anyone, I'm just hoping for a good game." They couldn't even get that!

In my youth, I hated the sentimental ads and wanted the funny ones that everyone was talking about. Now u tend to like the sentimental ones. Is it because the others aren't funny? Or am I just getting old? Probably a bit of both.
Pretty sure I’m not supposed to tear up for a potato chip ad.

It's a good thing Veep ended when it did, because smart satire of national politics is fully dead.
Doocy: "The new face of RealFood .gov is Mike Tyson. How did you settle on someone who was most famous for eating Evander Holyfield's ear?"

RFK Jr.: "Brett Ratner who helped produce the ad had a lifelong friendship with him."

Two things that I think Democrats should announce:

1. If we win the House, there will be hearings and you're going to want to save your Signal chats to make a deal.

2. DOJ employees who quit on ethical grounds will be welcomed back with a promotion when we're rebuilding the government in 2029.

Does the Kicksterter Campaign page count as one page? Even if it goes extremely long in the scrollbar with a lot of unlocked stretch goals?
Every RPG is a one-page RPG if you only read one page of it

Uh, oh. Another soft layoff that presages a more direct layoff.
MachineGames is asking more staff to move to full-time office work. "We know that we are a lot more efficient and a lot more collaborative in general when we're actually in the office together." https://bit.ly/4rCdfaw
