I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Considering his history with Grok, I’d say he’s doing exactly as well as expected. How is parenting the dozen children he’s created going, BTW? Imagine this were a MOTHER who had 12 kids with several different men and then spent all day doing drugs and trolling people on her own platform 🤔

This from @lewisgoodall.com on the recent BBC mess is so good. Particularly this bit.

I remember senior, tenured (male, ofc) colleagues at news orgs sneer at suggestions of unconscious bias as if they were immune to it.

How commonplace it all is.

The moral of the story is this: men, women aren't listened to. So it's up to YOU to use your privilege and stand up against the perves. Silent solidarity means jack shit.
And ffs, don't ring girls up and wank down the phone to them.

We're told one of these land uses is 'productive', while the other is not.

But in terms of photosynthetic levels, as well as the production of clean air, water, no flooding, a stable climate, etc, etc, the natural ecosystem wins hands down.

As for biodiversity, let's not even go there.

When I was first elected, evidence showed it would take 193 years to bring London's air pollution within legal limits.

Due to our policies, we've done it in 9.

In Brazil this week, we showed that cities are giving the world reason to hope when it comes to tackling the climate emergency.

My dad's girlfriend once tried to persuade him to see a hypnotist to quit smoking, but he refused because he "knew a guy who recovered a terrible memory under hypnosis and couldn't stop screaming".

It took my sister to point out that he didn't; that was something that happened on The Simpsons.
