Maybe a minor point but maybe there’s a better phrase than “immigration crackdown” for the assault and targeting of a US citizen by masked federal agents because of his appearance. No crime alleged. Just looked brown so they defaulted to “shouldn’t be here.”

NEW: Avelo’s ICE flights have been a fiasco, internal documents show.

Serious safety lapses, poor planning, mechanical issues, an emergency landing — and they’re not even making as much money as they hoped they would.

The court issues a scathing ruling today in the Comey case. Judge William Fitzpatrick notes, among other things, that Lindsey Halligan made two false statements of the law when responding to questions by grand jurors. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Dear ICE: They don't let you wear a mask in your mug shot.
Great news. This is what an ICE agent looks like in a mugshot. Meet Gerardo Rodriguez, 45, of Temecula, courtesy of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested for "illegally detaining a minor at gunpoint while off duty last week." 🧵

This is a programming choice and it's tasteless and disgusting
Nothing makes me not want to support an audio company quite like having a plugin UX acting like a glorified storefront deceiving you by presenting presets (alongside the ones you actually own) you don't even have full access to. There's so much annoying friction like this in Addictive Drums 2.

This is good news. The ICE agent is arrested on state charges, so the Convicted FElon & the Regime can't do anything to stop this. They can try but it will be illegal.

ICEstapo detained 81 people in Charlotte, NC yesterday.

The internet is littered with videos of them using excessive force and ignoring legal documentation provided by the detainees.

Here’s my advice for ICEstapo:

Take a night off.

Go to the movies.

Watch “Nuremberg”.

Your time is coming.

👏 more!
Thank you to everyone organizing in Charlotte. As we saw in Chicago, you can send them packing, and we know similar efforts are already underway in Charlotte. In Chicago, neighborhood groups held “Know Your Rights” trainings so residents understood what to do if ICE appeared.

The Immigrant beef is way more expensive because you have to train the cow to cross the Rio Grande at dusk and then scale a border wall, which is not easy obviously because cow thumbs. So yeah this totally tracks.
I knew they blamed immigrants for everything, but I didn’t think they would blame immigrant cows for hamburger prices.

I don't know why we still call them ICE and treat them as a legitimate organization. They are an armed Militia and should be designated as a terrorist group. No other legal force in America wears masks and strips people of due process. They are a terrorist organization

Accurate.
i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

There have been at least 154 cases in which federal district courts have issued preliminary relief against a Trump administration policy.

Those rulings have come from 121 *different* judges appointed by seven presidents (including 15 appointed by Trump) sitting in 29 district courts in 10 circuits:

Deputy Attorney General Blanche's attack on lower courts is an impressive combination of light on substance; shamelessly hypocritical; and profoundly dangerous. More people should be condemning it.

This is the sort of thing that procurement rules are meant to prevent. Those rules can make things slow and unwieldy in government, but reflect how politicized our system is. Other rich countries have figured out that a less politicized system lowers the risks of corruption.

Why are they not legally required to do this? More, why have they not offered?
