My only 2026 prediction: at least one of these situations goes down
A metaphor for what happens when:

-the MAGA CDC confronts the next pandemic
-the MAGA pentagon faces its next actual military challenge
-the MAGA FEMA faces the next natural disaster
-the MAGA economic advisors face the next economic collapse

MAGA cosplay ≠ expertise or ability

For better or worse, public figures are judged when they die — their character, contributions, beliefs. It's undeniable that millions have mourned Rob Reiner's tragic death, celebrating his talent and contributions. I suspect when a certain public figure kicks the bucket, sentiments wont be the same

So much swamp draining!
1. For at least 10 years, Pepsi has conspired with Walmart to force up grocery prices. That’s the shocking evidence made public today in an unsealed FTC lawsuit. The suit was abandoned in May by the Trump FTC just before it was to be un-redacted. We went to court to get it unsealed & won.

It's been just over a year. But on occasion of Tony Dokoupil's selection as anchor of CBS Evening News, it *really* is worth watching these 5+ minutes of his exchange with Ta-Nehisi Coates.

Especially for the quality of TNC's responses. Worth your time.

This here's a thread for all the (single) fellas
I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

Libraries ARE RADICAL. Supporting them is revolutionary.
They are one of the best things we've ever created and maintained in society and we should all protect them fiercely.

When they say Trump calling a reporter "piggy" is "just being honest," they are revealing a key feature of the reactionary mind: it believes, at a deep brainstem level, that *everyone* is awful & selfish & ugly on the inside. Everyone just suppresses it out of fear of social disapproval. Not Trump!

The solution to the male loneliness epidemic is attending a local Democratic Party canvassing event.
WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.
