The last thing I want to go on about is being trans. I just want to serve God (& be me!), but …

Things are just awful for trans people right now.

And they will get worse.

We are such a minority.

Though we will keep going,

non-trans friends: please find ways to stand up with us and for us.

Today’s #MusicalCountdown to Christmas is Megson’s marvellous folky version of ‘Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day’, a carol that has echoes of mystery plays and reminds us that the idea of a dancing Christ has quite a lineage.

1. The difference so far (and for god's sake let's keep it that way) between X and Bluesky is not between right and left but between abuse and respect.
A good society is built on mutual respect. But what does this mean?
A short thread.🧵

Here we are in 2024 and need these words spoken for all to hear. Is there anyone that will listen though and feel what it means to live in a Democracy? The majority of Voters showed they don't give a damn! That is what makes me cry!

When I was a professor at University of New Hampshire, I used to teach a class on contemporary metamodern multimedia in which I would play this video for students. Giant screen; small, darkened seminar room...it would leave us all speechless. Including me—every time I saw it. Hope you feel as I did.

Hello! I’m not sure how many people who care about the NHS are here yet- but the non-profit campaign org I run (EveryDoctor) is running a massive campaign involving 99 MPs so far, and I need to connect with as many lovely folk as possible.

If you follow me, share+like this I’ll follow you back!Ju☺️💙

Starter packs really are an ingenious product, aren’t they?

I’m convinced the shift to Bluesky wouldn’t be half as dramatic if it weren’t so easy to establish a network/newsfeed with just a couple of clicks.

I'm newly here from that other space.

I'm a nurse and NHS campaigner

I'm trying to reconnect with some of my old pals from there - could you please give this post a share and help me find them?

Thanks 🙏

For what it's worth, my two cents is that Bishop Guli should get Canterbury, but that the Church is too cowardly to let that happen.

National museums often present history through the idea of the museum as a ‘view from nowhere’ & everywhere at the same time. What is missing is reflection on how the museum itself obtained & reframed the objects in order to create its own seemingly universal narrative. There are other ways. 👇
Hello Bluesky & new Followers!
How many stories do you think can 1 museum object tell? We say 100 histories of 100 worlds! Our project is the answer to the British Museum/BBC History of the World in 100 Objects. More than 10 years on & the world has changed. Find out more: 100histories100worlds.org
