I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

They fucked the country up beyond belief and now, languishing in opposition for, hopefully, forever, they come back and show they really have their fingers on the pulse of the nation. Absolute clowns. #Toryscum

Just finished reading The Best of Everything. Honestly, @kitdewaal.com , you’ve put me through the wringer there! So emotional, as with all of your books, it really got to me. Long live Paulette and Nellie!

Great interview, although I feel exhausted after reading it. God knows how it must feel to be her! This paragraph particularly made me laugh (in a good way)!

@centristmum.bsky.social is spot on. It’s shameful that these thugs are being quoted as concerned fathers, husbands, boyfriends and people who are appalled at mass murder, inc. starvation of children are terrorists. The UK has gone mad.
The contrast in reporting these stories is nuts, right? It's not just me?

If you have Now TV or Sky Documentaries, there’s a great new documentary about the musical upbringing of Led Zeppelin before they met in 1968 — it’s really interesting on 1950s-60s music

It was this review that convinced me to buy the book. Just finished it in just over two days. I’m feeling a bit emotional m if I’m honest. Loved it, what a book.

Doubt that this will be terribly fruitful, but if there's anyone out there with an actual job they think I could do, I'm currently very employable.

Need a host?
Someone to write things for you?
Tomfoolery?

Could really do with some gainful employment.

Thanks

Apart from our national anthem being a load of serf-like, grovelling bullshit, Becky Hill smashed it.

Certainly sir
The Met Office are letting us submit our own storm name suggestions:

www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...

There's space for five names in the submission boxes.

Let's go with:

Exxon Mobil
BP
Shell
Equinor
Chevron

At last, those companies will get the recognition they deserve.

Pls retweet!

I honestly think that if Jason Donovan rereleased his 1989 song "too many broken hearts in the world" but the replaced the words 'broken hearts' with 'fucking cunts' he's got a worldwide hit on his hands.

Just been reminded of the time our previous dog, Polly, found a dildo in the park next to our house. Mom and I were on holiday at the time so only got to enjoy the photos.

I believe this is still pinned to the staff notice board at our vets.

Anyone?
In the days of lovely Twitter I often put out a call for help with research in writing my books. So here goes, Bluskiers.

I'm looking for a social worker (adoption/fostering preferably) and a probation officer who worked between 2008 and 2012, the more senior the better.

Please share :)
