This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

After voting to kill the ACA subsidies and spending the week trashing the Dems clean bill, Susan Collins turns around and backs their extension.

Redux of her Hegseth vote: Collins waits till the GOP has the votes they need and only does the 'right' thing when it won't make a difference. #MEpolitics

Susan Collins votes for the GOP plan to kill the very ACA subsidies she keeps telling us she supports.

The bill, which would push millions into expensive high deductible plans, would also make abortion coverage unattainable for millions of women.

All fine by Collins, apparently. #MEpolitics
By a vote of 51-48, the #Senate did not invoke cloture on the MTP to S.3386, a bill to provide a health savings account contribution to certain enrollees, to reduce health care costs, and for other purposes (Crapo/Cassidy).

Angus King, who keeps caving to Trump, will be in the Senate until 2030 if he wants to be.

Hard to envision him ditching the Neville Chamberlain shtick absent an organizing/engagement strategy to reach him and move him. Not sure if this is the answer but at least it's a start. #MEpolitics

"Why did you slip in a provision to pay GOP senators $500,000?" is a question that could be asked of Susan Collins if even one reporter in Maine or DC had the temerity to pose it to her.

(Same is true of: "Why have you held zero oversight hearings under Trump?") #MEpolitics
On Maine right-wing radio this morning, Susan Collins says she was “responsible for not only putting the bill together, but also managing it on the Senate floor, dealing with proposals to change it…”

So why did she slip in the provision to pay GOP Senators 500k?
