Relationship mortician, ski mom, lover of machine-washable throw blankets.

No one of consequence.

Somewhere in the Maine mountains.
All I want for Christmas is for society to be as critical of handouts to billionaires as it is of a twinkie in the checkout line when an EBT card comes out.

The money is so stacked against us that we have 0% of the Senate representing us.
They did. My god. They are fast tracking the vote.

Every single one of them.

If you are trying to call Angus King and have discovered his DC voicemail is full, the office voicemail for Presque Isle is not 207-764-5124.

Politicians get hung up on "on record"/"owning [policy]"; has no one ever told them taglines aren't policy nor are they meaningful to voters?

What does matter?

How much $ we pay for basic needs, human right violations, and abusive government behavior.

Take care of that.

Please and thank you.

Cheering for the Democrats to prevail in a national policy dispute is like cheering for the Mariners to win a world series.

I opened my office door to let the cat in.

Not the cat.

It's snowing in Rangeley. ❤️

When folks are wanting their million dollar home, they are picturing a kitchen that more than one person can fit in and ample closets, not compound interest.

I accidentally ended up at a bowling alley this morning.

As one does.

It's #SundayCheckIn for 11/9.

How was your week?

How are you holding up?

What do you need?

What are you struggling with?

What has helped?

What kindness would help you?

Remember to wash your sheets.

12 is making a lingonberry/cardamom mocktail.

Gentle reader, it features ghost pepper mango hot sauce.

I don't know how to respond to this concoction.

Someone asked if I ever run for office again if I'll scrub my personal stuff off my social media

Folks deserve to get to know who they are signing up to have represent them, not who consultants sanitize for you

I'm always a mom, voter, and lawyer first; those duties don't go away with a job change

14 and his friend just wandered off into the woods with 2 hand saws and a shovel.

Should I investigate?

Why, yes...I am getting our children in the mood for Christmas movies with cinnamon toast.
November 8, 2025 at 1:34 PM
I used to take the kids out for dinner when I worked a long day, but in the past couple of years that's gone from $80 ➡️ $120 ➡️ $150 ➡️ $200 for comparable meals (holy inflation, batman!)

So I've been making a wide range of "this will fill you up for 5 minutes of my energy dishes".

Tonight's ⤵️

I may or may not have a bag of 30 pairs of fuzzy sock that I got on clearance to have available to keep in my car for errant children (and adults) who have no socks or wet socks.

Nothing to see here...
DHS confirmed it has stopped automatically storing officials' text messages.

Instead, officials are supposed to take a screenshot, send that to their work email, download it onto their work computer and run a text-recognition program on it. Every time.

Mills has already said she's working on what she can do.

What will YOU do?

Is your campaign donating to food banks?

Are you personally?

Are you encouraging your supporters to donate to food banks instead of some donations they would make to your campaign?

Words are the easy part of campaigns.
As SNAP dries up and over 170,000 Mainers go hungry, Maine's rainy day fund sits at $1.03 billion.

I am calling on Gov. Mills to bring the legislature back in session and use the rainy day fund to fund SNAP until the end of the year.

No Mainer should go hungry.

This morning I was served a Google ad telling me to look on Google to figure out how to do home improve projects and it seems like Google might not have used Google lately.

I'd like to remind everyone that this is occurring in a country where there was a comic strip in a publication for men called Chester the Molester about a sex pest man that ran for 13 YEARS, including WHEN THE ARTIST WAS IN JAIL FOR MOLESTING HIS OWN DAUGHTER from 13-18 years old.

This election really should have had an open primary.
In an era of skyrocketing CEO pay, Tesla shareholders overwhelmingly approved a $1 trillion pay package intended to keep Elon Musk in charge of the company for the next decade. https://wapo.st/4oTKbcZ

"Women - why won't they stay home?"

Followed by "Women - I forced her to stay home and now that lazy birch wants me to pay for her to not have sex with me and do my housework for free anymore...why doesn't she just go work?"
the question nobody with a soul is asking, answered by people nobody wants to hear from

Not enough snow to make anyone angry or thrilled, the luke warm tea of snow - a centrist snow if you will.
