So let me share 10 small things to help you feel less on edge & more mellow?

I cannot emphasize enough that the New York City subway is not scary. It’s one of my favorite parts of living here. I grew up in the suburbs having to drive on highways everywhere and that’s way scarier

At a time where it feels like we're losing, we need to remember our victories that not only have happened in the past, but continue to exist today.

Thus I give you, California Condor 926 of the SoCal flock.

Great grandchild of Condor # 1.

We as humanity can still do good things.

I went to the Science Museum yesterday and as well as having a ball with my nearly four year old in their amazing child spaces (god love free London museums) I was utterly charmed by this caption.

Historians have long believed that native Hawaiians greeted Captain James Cook as a god... until a spicy debate broke out 30 years ago.

In my newsletter, I look into why neither side of this infamous debate included any Hawaiian perspectives. And why it matters.

Run out of numbers? This printer seems to have improvised for signatures: the 2 is a z, the 3 was a B, the 4 is a broken st ligature & the 5 is a broken S(?). Suetonius’ Lives of the XII Caesars, printed at Venice in 1480, probably by Johannes Rubeus. @theulspeccoll.bsky.social Inc.3.B.3.152[4304].

Inez Milholland toured to agitate for women’s right to vote. Despite having pernicious anemia and against the advice of her family, she persevered. She died at 30 after collapsing in the middle of a speech. Her last public words were “how long must women wait for liberty?”

We run a little shop that punches way above its financial weight.

I’d sure love to be able to have the resources to professionalize what we do: from paying my own taxes on time to have stipends for our reviewers (and a freelance budget).

If #immersive *anything* is your deal: become a backer!
NoPro is closing in on a major milestone, and we need your help to get there!

We’re just $560 in monthly pledges away from the $4k mark.

If you want to see MORE immersive arts & entertainment coverage, then jump in for as little as $5 a month.

About 8% of trans Americans have already changed states because of bigotry. That’s 130k-260k people. If each of those brought just ONE family member on average, that’s 260k-520k people. These are Oregon Trail numbers (about 400k went to OR/CA/UT on the trail). Will we get a video game and monuments?
