My kids have measles and my SNAP benefits were cut. But at least those cashiers at Walmart aren’t writing “they/them” on their name tags anymore.

“The 3.5% rule is a concept in political science that states that when 3.5% of the population of a country protest nonviolently against a government, that government is likely to fall from power.”

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social - How could you and do this?!! What is happening to you? How could you let any Ds vote for this?! His life was not honorable. He thought you were an affirmative action hire.
95 democrats, including @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social voted to "honor" the life of charlie kirk, who called for joe biden to be killed and said black women like justice ketanji brown jackson are unqualified affirmative action hires.
shame.

2/2. Everyone using the phrase "land swap" should please specify which Russian territory Ukraine would be getting. So far it’s a euphemism for forcing Ukraine to give things up to Russia.

We’re all saying it, but this scary-city thing is such BS. I’ve lived in Manhattan & Brooklyn since 1993, I take the subway & walk all over the place & I’ve experienced *zero* serious crime. Cities are big, dense places full of crowds & strangers, but that doesn’t make them apocalyptic crimepots

There are a lot of things wrong with this country, but it’s hard to imagine anything less American than the President threatening to revoke someone’s citizenship for the crime of free speech.

With all the truly shitty stuff happening here, this is a good news story.
This is amazing and brave. They tried to officially ban Pride after trying to kill it with a million pricks. The Project 2025 playbook has been field tested.
Absolutely incredible turnout for Budapest Pride! So proud of all the organizers, including some old friends, who estimate hundreds of thousands— major embarrassment to Orban

As hypocritical as it gets.
WATCH: “You’ve been criticized for having a double-standard.”
Republicans Bondi, Johnson, Thune struggle to defend the hypocrisy of Trump condemning LA protestors after pardoning those who attacked law enforcement during the actual 1/6 insurrection.

The really critical thing to know about the Trump/Musk throw down is that the “Big Beautiful Bill” would explode the debt, exacerbate economic inequality, and cause cruel and grievous harm to the most vulnerable Americans and we really should be talking about that a whole lot more.

10. In other words, you can’t actually imagine a Black female president just winging it the way Donald Trump wings it, because the structures and conditions that are in place in this country would never allow her to do so without paying a dear price.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
