I think we'd prefer it if the Americans would go back to ignoring us, so that we could then resent that. We'd be much happier.

This is Canada. This is what we are fighting for.

We will NEVER be the 51st anything.

We have work to do. Let's do it for each other. Let's do it for our land, our water, our resources, and our history. We cannot, we will not, go down in history as anything other than Canada.

I know this is going to sound naive or earnest, but I genuinely find myself shocked by how little people seem to be upset by the levels of corruption we're seeing. Is that the median voter assumes everyone is corrupt already? Or isn't actually getting stories about the corruption?

Unbelievable news.

Pancreatic is one of the deadliest cancers.

New paper shows personalized mRNA vaccines can induce durable T cells that attack pancreatic cancer, with 75% of patients cancer free at three years—far, far better than standard of care.

How stupid and arbitrary are Trump's mass firings at federal agencies?

A State Dept employee tells me some colleagues are racing to change their job descriptions so phrases like "transnational crime" don't get caught up in DOGE AI bots scanning for words like "trans" to fire people because "DEI."

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower
