there is no jurisprudence at work here. the republican court believes that anything a republican president is presumptively constitutional, even if it directly violates the unambiguous constitutional text and causes total chaos in law and policy.

Used this analogy when explaining to the teen, but to point out that in the end, when the hyenas realize Scar has destroyed everything, they turn on him. Simba doesn't kill him; his own underlings tear him apart.
Our government feels like when Scar took over after Mufasa died. Just a bunch of ecological damage and hyenas running around this mf.

I really do think we’re well beyond this point.
If you pretend that your differences with friends and coworkers and family are about “politics” when in fact they’re about right versus wrong and fascism versus the rule of law, you’re doing your country a grave disservice.

I don't think Americans can comprehend how permanent the damage from the last 3 months has been. Brexit is probably the closest comparison. Even if the Trump admin was booted out of office tomorrow, we're looking at at least a generation of recovery to get back to "normal". This is just life now.
